yeah and and uh so what happened then then those 15 20 years ago what what what did you guys decided to do and and and why and what what what did you guys manage to do and what did you guys did not manage to do

the most amazing thing happened and thing got out of hand in a good way.

And that thing grew bigger and more important than all of us.

Meaning that in the effort, you saw different organizations that I mentioned, Hack Cyprus and Cypriot Enterprise Link that work together, Chrysalis Leap, Startup Cyprus, and others, TED events.

Well, that's starting happening.

So the community was beginning to form.

In terms of Cypriot Enterprise Link, we had...

We started the first startup conference in Cyprus, which was called the Insights Conference.

And we had various speakers coming from abroad, workshops, investment stand-ups and demos happening.

And the thing that I'm mostly proud of was that the members of our team who launched Hack Cyprus, that was Alex, Kono, Christou, George and George, And Elena Struthos, they launched the first hackathon in Cyprus.

I remember going to one of the Cypriot TV channels to speak about Hack Cyprus.

And underneath, you know, when they have the screen, when you speak and they have screens underneath, they had like police and hackers and...

And afterwards we said, we're like, no, no, it's not about that.

It's about people getting together and building their ideas into products over 48 hours.

So a lot of things happen.

A lot of interesting things happen.

So let's play a game, right? I'm going to tell you things that happened and you tell me if you think it's true or false.

Okay.

Okay.

Some of the participants of the first Hack Cyprus event were building a robotic submarine and they tested if the propeller works and they didn't they wanted to test it and they didn't know where so they did it uh they put the propeller in the toilet

oh

true or false true true it's

very

specific true The founder of Shazam, before he sold his company for 400 million to Apple, was taken by our volunteers to moon docks in Nicosia to watch Arsenal have a pint of beer and eat burgers.

False?
