“WHO DO YOU SAY THAT I AM?”

Well, beloved, what happened, and I'll give you just a little bit of a back story to this.

I was going through my phone and on my thread where you get, you know, different videos that pop up.

A video from the Manchester United Methodist Church popped up.

And I do tune into this church every now and then because someone I love very much who's very, very close to me attends there with their family.

And so every now and then I do take a look at what they're teaching.

So I know how to pray because I know for one thing, they're they're into error in many ways.

But.

the message that popped up that caught my attention was the title of the sermon was, Who Do You Say That I Am? And so that really caught my attention.

I wanted to know, okay, who do you say that he is? That's probably one of the most important questions that Scripture presents to us.

And you know the account where it came from.

It's when Jesus asked the disciples standing around him, who do you say that I am? And in particular, he asked Peter, who do you say that I am? And Peter answered, thou art the Christ, the son of the living God.

And of course, Jesus said to Peter, Peter, flesh and blood has not given you this revelation, but only my father in heaven.

And so as I pull up the video at this particular church, they have a reader and sometimes it's even children and they'll stand at the podium.

They'll open the word of God.

They'll stand in reverence, which, you know, is important.

And they'll they'll read the scripture.

And then the pastor comes up and he gives a message.

And anytime I've ever watched it, I have to be honest with you, they completely dismantle and blaspheme the very holy word that they just spoke before the people.

And so we get to the message and the minister who gave this particular message was actually a visiting minister.

He was a so-called bishop of the United Methodist Church.

And in fact, they were celebrating their 200th anniversary of the United Methodist Church founded by Wesley and Wesley.

I have to say that if John Wesley saw and knew what they teach today, he would shudder.

He would shudder because that was not the foundational heart of the man who was known to found the United Methodist Church.

But then, of course, we are in the Laodicea Church of today.

And so I make the point to say I'm not particularly just pointing out the United Methodist Church because this... message that I'm giving you and the danger of it, it goes across the board in the Laodicea realm.
