Let's begin with the first talking point here, which is, is 7-1 still possible? Is it still possible for West Virginia? And while the coaching staff needs to worry about just Iowa State this week, we can look ahead and have this conversation because I think it's still a possibility, guys, even though the further I get away from Oklahoma State, the better I feel about West Virginia.
And the reason for that is, is because I believe, I believe Oklahoma state would just woke up after that first loss and, and really put some pieces together and beat what's, I mean, you looked at Oregon again, Saturday, they beat USC, a really good team.
The final score only looks like it does because he threw two picks at the end of the game.
Um, So I think that if we're on Oregon's level, then we're probably pretty good this year, right? Maybe we're not even on Oregon's level.
And I think their defense is good enough, clearly, and their offense is good.
They can run it almost as good as we can, and they pass it way better than we can.
If we had their passing part of their offense, that game would have been so evenly matched in so many ways, but we don't have that yet.
So it doesn't get easier, but I don't think it gets harder either against Iowa State.
So I think there's at least one, maybe two games left on this that will be more toss-ups, but are very winnable.
