DISCOURAGING WIN: Kyler Murray Did NOT Look Prepared in Return as Starting QB

That was as hideous, as ugly a win as you will chalk up in the NFL, and it happens all the time around the league.

There are ugly wins constantly in the NFL.

That one seemed, even in the, the 15% of NFL games that look that way, that felt like that was even worse than the normal ugly win.

The Vikings were 2 of 15 on third down.

The Bucs were 2 of 17.

There were 20 combined first downs in the game, and I don't know how many were accomplished via penalty, but it was a heavily officiated game.

There were injuries to important players, and that sucks.

Justin Jefferson, ankle.

Baker Mayfield, thumb, late in the game.

That's no fun.

But the big disappointment is learning nothing really in the po- in the positive about Kyler Murray.

We saw a wonderful pass to Justin Jefferson to begin the game.

We saw a good ball to Jordan Addison on the sidelines, and then a few plays later, another bomb to Jordan Addison.

Jordan Addison made a couple plays.

That was the high point for Kyler Murray, and there weren't many more.

Indecisive.

Scrambling without much effect.

I can only think of one productive scramble Kyler Murray had.

He was uncomfortable in the pocket all day, and not necessarily because of the protection.

Time, time was there.

Time was there to throw.

Zero offensive rhythm.

Zero.

Happy feet, not knowing where to go with the ball, balls batted down.

That's one of the fears when you have a small quarterback.
