Sergio de la Rea has come into the preseason for the Mavericks and looked really good.

You love what you see from him in terms of, uh, pushing the ball ahead, getting guys open, passing guys open.

But Marcus Sasser's absence has left a, kind of a hole in what was already kind of a weak spot for the Dallas Mavericks.

I do think the Mavs will, like they did in China, limit him in the amount of games that he'll play.

And so we expect Kyrie Irving to come in and play 30 minutes a game, and you know, all that stuff that stars do.

But that there will be a, a gap there when, when there's back to backs and the Mavs are the most back to backs in the NBA this season.

After Kyrie, Marcus Sasser, Sergio, Naji Marshall has been used as the ball handler as one of the other, like, primary ball handlers.

Dusty May has played him as, like, the one ball handler in a group with a bunch of other wings and bigs so far in the couple games in preseason.

You don't want them as, as the main ball handler bringing the ball up, e- especially for Cooper Flagg.

And so just looking at the, you know, the, the forest through the trees when it comes to the Mavs ball handlers, the Mavs play makers, Sergio de la Rea is gonna be tested this season, and they're gonna use him a lot.
