Denver's got a strong roster, one of the best rosters in the NFL, but the first thing I'll tell you about is the biggest concern is the depth at the linebacker position behind Justin Sternad and Alex Singleton.

Then later, I'll tell you why the Broncos, while they have proven options at the tight end position going into this season, they don't have a long-term outlook at that position.

Broncos off-ball linebacker position was one of the bigger perceived team needs coming into this offseason.

And they had a couple of guys set to be free agents, Alex Singleton, Justin Sternad.

Justin Sternad was the first guy to sign a three-year deal in free agency here for the Broncos to come back.

You can make the argument even last year, Sternad was the Broncos' best linebacker out of the bunch between he, Singleton, and Dre Greenlaw.

Greenlaw didn't see much time on the field, which led to them ultimately releasing him here this offseason.

And with those two guys, that's a pretty good starting unit here inside of Vance Joseph's defense specifically.

But behind them, the real concern at linebacker is the depth and the inexperience.

But you have two guys who are second-year players who don't have a ton of NFL starting experience.

Jordan Turner is the only guy who really saw some defensive snaps for the Broncos last year and played a lot of special team snaps for Darren Rizzi down the stretch.

who made the 53 last year before he suffered an injury that kind of kept him off the field a little bit.
