The Broncos have the right mindset as it comes to their preparation for Monday Night Football against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Then later, I'll tell you why the Broncos... to prepare for one dynamic that they necessarily haven't prepared for when facing the chiefs just yet we'll get in all that let's get into the first part here patrick mahomes is coming off of a major multi-ligament knee injury that includes the acl significant damage to the lcl which is very painful as someone who's gone through that himself i understand that there's always this mental barrier that athletes run into when coming off of an acl and right now it would be very easy for any team and for anybody even us in the media to look at Mahomes and the Chiefs and to say, you know what? Patrick Mahomes is not going to be able to run around like he always used to.

Now, specifically for the Broncos, The defense, they're not looking at it that way, and certainly head coach Sean Payton are not viewing Mahomes or the Chiefs in that light.

So a big part of that is overlooking Mahomes and saying, you know, he's not going to be the guy that he used to be.

We are preparing for for Mahomes best as if he's going to be the best version of himself just knowing the type of athlete the type of competitor that he is he's going to go through and he probably attacked his rehab the same way that Bo did now granted those two injuries were very different between both of them so the Broncos they know that Mahomes can still do damage they're anticipating it and they're not going into this game thinking you know what he's not going to do what he's always done and that is the smart move but the Broncos they do have to prepare for one element they haven't prepared for with the Kansas City Chiefs in quite some time.
