Riley Moss was back at practice on Monday as a full participant just a week after he missed all of practice last week with a rib injury.

that he suffered in the Broncos week two preseason loss against the Green Bay Packers.

The Broncos wanted to be smart with their approach with Riley, and I understand that because he is the unquestioned cornerback to opposite of Patrick Sertan II.

They are looking to also want to pay him, but you have to let that process play out here.

So for Riley coming back, we all know coming into this game against the Chiefs, he's going to see a lot of attention because is Patrick Mahomes really going to try to throw PS2's way considering that maybe Mahomes might not be as mobile early on in the season as he works his way back from the multiligament knee injury that he suffered last year? I mean, Monday Night Football in two weeks from now is going to be Mahomes' first game since that very injury.

And so do you want to test guys like Xavier Worthy, Rayshia Rice against Riley Moss? That might seem like the more favorable matchup versus wherever and whoever Patrick Sertan II is facing.

So for Riley to get back on the practice field as a full participant, no limitations, that is a great step in the right direction for him because it gives him two weeks to get his feet back underneath him.

And more importantly, as the Broncos transition into game install and preparing for For KC, Riley can go into this matchup fully healthy and then they can just let it fly on Monday Night Football because more than likely, Patrick Mahomes is going to try to let it fly when he throws the football in his direction specifically instead of Patrick Sertan II.

And of course, when there's excitement about a player returning, there's also concern about a player that's not returning.
