But the first question is, how do you feel about the trade compensation seeing that, knowing what the Bengals gave up for Dexter Lawrence?

Number one, it was, Oh, we don't have to deal with Jeffrey Simmons because that is the guy that has been the Titan, honestly, since he's been there and been in his prime and been the pro bowl player.

And just, he's the guy that every time there's a clip or a highlight of that defense, it's him winning a one-on-one and destroying the offensive play.

And yeah, It's a team that has seen the impact of Dexter Lawrence through six games.

You can tell that one guy like that in the middle of the defense can wreck your day.

Now do the Titans have enough around it to really make a difference? No, they're one of the worst defenses in the league and even anchored even worse by one of the worst offenses in the league.

But then my mind goes, yes, Two first-round picks for the Bears, who are clearly in the mindset that they can win a Super Bowl this year.

I wonder if... you see the impact and I bet there's bears locked on bears are probably talking about this today, right? Like the Dexter Lawrence equivalent of that impact on their team.

Although they did trade away Gervon Dexter and he's playing really, really well for the Falcons.

We'll see him next week, but they had to make a move and they felt like, go get one of the best players in the entire league.

and you've seen teams Seattle in 2025 obviously the Rams in 2021 take that attitude and trade away draft picks because you can get a player that can help you right now the problem is is it's hard to find these really good players on bad teams and then it's hard to find the willingness to part with that kind of trade compensation the Bengals gave up the 10th overall pick the bears.

If they get to where they wanna go the next couple of years, you're talking about late first round picks mm-hmm and I've seen bears fans and bears media already rationalizing the trade, comparing it to Dexter Lawrence by saying, well, if it's too late first round picks and you discount the one for the future year, which I'm not convinced the NFL really does anymore to a significant degree, maybe a little bit.

maybe like five to 10%, but certainly not the 50% or full round that it may be used to.
