Carrie ReedyHostSo, and you, for any surgery, it would be recommended that people are increasing their protein prior and then during your healing process that helps with healing.
So you, if you're not already moving and doing weight bearing, You really want to get moving and do weight bearing.
The stronger and healthier you are for surgery, the, it's not easy, but the more ease you will have with recovery.
Like you minimize your risks by trying to be as healthy holistically as possible, right? So I am not a smoker.
If you are a smoker, you want to make sure you're not smoking three months out, 100%.
If anybody is taking GLP, you really want to have that discussion with your doctors.
The anesthesiologists will have a protocol in regards to how far in advance.
You need to be, I didn't mention this when we're talking about the interviews, you need to be so transparent about your medical history, past and present.
And, but I can tell you people skirt around or hide the past because they're looking for the yes and And they run into complications while they're there.
And it takes longer to figure it out because they didn't have your full history.
And I saw people while I was there, because I was there a month, who, you know, skirted around some things.
And their recoveries looked very, very different because it's not that they're necessarily going to say no to you either, but they may say we do it differently.
Then they can foreplan, okay? So you disclosing even things that you don't think, like put it in writing, have a conversation about it in your consults, have a conversation when you're there.
