So you imagine, like, from being a child and, and being totally void of, of any ability to, to embrace any s- emotion through fear and changing how I felt with substances, when suddenly I am clean and I have to deal with my emotions, that were a lot to take on.

And then when I had to look at all the damage that I'd done as a result of my addiction and how I'd lived, how I'd impacted the community, what I'd done to my family, to my friends, to my kids, I had three kids by this time, you know what I'm saying? And it were like, wow.

And I realized pretty early on that there's nowt that I could do about the past, because the past is done.
