Let's Parent on Purpose: Christian Marriage, Parenting, and Discipleship
May 11, 2026 · 31 min · 14 segments
This episode of *Let’s Parent on Purpose* explores a crucial question for Christian parents: *what makes faith stick in the lives of our children?* Drawing from over 25 years of youth ministry…
Um, you know, I feel like as we teach our, our student ministry, and I know this is the same thing in our children's ministry at our church, we work really hard to not water down the theological content.
Realistically, I know that most people are not auditory learners, which is kind of funny because the, you know, the primary way that we present truth is through preaching, and preaching is transformative.
And so because we don't hear and just absorb truth automatically, we need it in bite-sized bites, but we also need it in a way where it's consumable, it's processable.
So that's why actually in, in our youth ministry, every time we do a lesson, we break up immediately into small groups, and we process what we just listened to.
You know, generally one of the questions is, what is the most important thing that you heard? You know, we ask, what was confusing to you? What do you think the Lord wants you to do with this? We wanna invite questions from our children.
