One of the things that happens when you're in a sport for 18 years and you're running that team, is you find yourself, this really is, it's not because we host nothing personal.

It's really because an occupational hazard of being inside a front office for as long as I was, is that you pretty much lose being a fan of any sport or any team.

You can't really go to a stadium or arena without making it about business and looking around and looking at the concession lines, looking at the menu offerings, looking at ingress and egress and security and all the things that you wish you didn't have to look at because you know how the sausage is made.

And the other thing that you do is that you picture, if I were the president of that team, what would I do? I'm watching the Eagles in London play the Jaguars.

Now the reason that I'm very interested in this game, A, it's 9.30 in the morning, but B, my girlfriend is in a survivor pool and had the Jaguars.

I'm out of all of my survivor pools because I usually lose in week one.

I actually lasted until week three this year, which was pretty cool.

Now survivor pools are not all built equally.

The biggest one that she does is the one she's still in.

She has a partner, not me.

She wanted the Cowboys.

The partner wanted the Jaguars.

How do you decide who gets to choose when you're 50-50 partners? Well, what's supposed to happen is a conversation and then an agreement.

And this is what happened.

And luckily, the agreement ended with, let's take the Jaguars.

So I'm watching the Jaguars and I'm thinking about, all right, I want them to win because it would accrue to my benefit like 50% worth of 50%, which is like 25% worth.

Well, not legally, but let's just say practically.

Well, practically my actual financial vested interest in winning the survivor pool is roughly zero.

But in any case, I'm still rooting for the Jaguars because it'd be cool to even know somebody who wins the survivor pool.

Forget a big one.

Jaguars are losing, they're winning.

I'm staying in touch.

Oh, I'm watching the marathon in Chicago.
