When 43-year-old Christine Holloway’s family hadn’t heard from her in days, they asked police to check on her. Officers who went to her home found Christine dead and her 14-month-old daughter, Vanessa…
When the officer arrives, there's no sign of Christine or her 14-month-old daughter, Vanessa.
But he finds no cause for alarm, so he leaves.
By now, word has spread through Christine's family that something is amiss.
My husband called me because he was at work and he said, my mom called, Chrissy's job left her a voicemail, something about she didn't show up to work.
And I said, all right, I'll go to her house and go check.
And we lived five minutes away from her.
And when I walked up, I saw footprints in the snow because it had just snowed.
And I was like, well, somebody was here.
And I took pictures.
I remember taking pictures of the footprints in the snow.
And I was knocking on the door, banging on the door, screaming for her name, maybe trying to hear a baby cry.
Nothing.
Jody calls her husband Steven.
If Christine's not home and she's not at work, then maybe she's with her boyfriend, Vanessa's dad, 43-year-old Jose Morales.
And I found his address through his mother's name.
I knocked on his parents' door.
He told me that him and Chrissy left the house.
She put the baby in the car, went to work, and he went to work.
I said, have you tried calling her? No, I haven't heard from her all day.
And I said, well, if you hear from them or see them, give me a call.
I said, matter of fact, call me from your phone so I have your phone number.
And he called me, and I said, all right.
I went back to my husband's car, and at that point, that's when I started calling all the area hospitals, given the description of Chrissy and Vanessa.
There is no record of Christine or Vanessa being admitted anywhere.
