Episode 21 - Summer Holiday Prices are INSANE... Here's how to pay less

Okay, so numero uno.

Please stop being too specific, unless you absolutely need to be.

This is one of my biggest tiffs.

If you come to me and say, I need seven nights in Mallorca, flying from Manchester on the 1st of August, all inclusive, and I want this particular hotel, I haven't really got anywhere to go.

I can find you the best price for that exact holiday, but I can't work much magic.

Whereas if you say to me, I've got £3,000 with two adults, two children, we want somewhere hot, a nice pool, good food, plenty for the kids.

We can travel anytime between this state and this state and we can use Manchester, Liverpool or Birmingham.

Now we can play.

The more flexible you can be with me, the more opportunities I've got to find you something brilliant.

Also, don't automatically do Saturday or Sunday, specifically Saturday to Saturday.

This is such a simple one.

We automatically do think of the holidays as seven nights Saturday to Saturday, especially which I understand, to be honest, if you are doing February half term, May half term, October half term, you would think Saturday to Saturday is better.

Same with Sunday to Sunday.

And I know You can't be as flexible with those one week half terms.

But obviously, if you're talking Easter holidays, Christmas holidays, summer holidays, try flying on a Tuesday, a Wednesday or a Thursday.

Also, try out different nights.

Try six, eight, nine nights.

I have seen longer holidays come out cheaper than shorter ones simply because of the flights.

So don't get completely fixated on seven nights.

If eight nights saves you money, which is a terrible shame, you'll just have to spend an extra day in the pool.

I mean, it's heartbreaking, I know, but just go with it.

Also, check different airports.

This is a big one.

If you're willing to travel a little further to another airport, check it.
