Masjid Al Falaah - 9th October 2026 - 'Jumuah Bayaan' with Maulana Junaid Rumaney
Junaid RumaneyGuest
Last week we started the tafsir, you can say, about this, the verses which were recited and the first verse which we have read in which Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala commands us.

We did mention that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has revealed the Quran for the entire nation, not only for Muslims and that is one of the reasons that in the Quran you will see in some places Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala when He refers to entire humankind, whether they be Muslims or they are following any other religion, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says, "Ya ayyuhannas, O people." When Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala mentions all people, He is referring to everyone, whether you believe in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala or you do not believe in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

But when Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is referring as ya ayyuhal ladhina amanu, then Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is talking to us, those who believe in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

So we should be very mindful and we should listen to what Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is telling us, uh, in those verses.

So the verse which, uh, I recited, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says, "Ya ayyuhal ladhina amanu la tulhikum amwalukum wa la awladukum an zikrillah".

What does it mean? Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is telling us to be very cautious regarding our children and the wealth which we acquire because our wealth sometimes and our children sometimes can deviate us from the remembrance of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says that if this happens, "Wa may yaf'al dhalik fa ulai ka humul khāsirun" means if someone's wealth and their children become the means of deviation from the remembrance of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, then you should remember that you are from the losers.

You will make your family happy, you will make your kids happy, but in the eyes of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, you are a sinner because you have done something wrong to gain something for your family.

So if you have done something wrong, if you have done that what Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has forbidden for the sake of the worldly matters, for the sake of our, uh, children to entertain them for whatever needs they have, which are not lawful, then Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says you are from the losers because in the hereafter you will be punished severely.
