God Encounters: One Encounter With Jesus Can Change Your Life - Michael Maiden - 14 September 2026

Okay, let's read together.

Luke chapter 19.

Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.

Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, who was the chief tax collector, and he was rich.

And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was short of stature.

So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Jesus, for he was going to pass that way.

And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and saw him and said to him, Zacchaeus, make haste to come down, for today I must stay at your house.

So he made haste and came down and received him joyfully.

But when they saw it, they complained and said, He has gone to be a guest of a man who is a sinner.

Then Zacchaeus stood and said, look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor.

And if I've taken anything by anyone by false accusation, I will restore fourfold.

And Jesus said, today salvation has come to this house because he's the son of Abraham.

For the son of man has come to seek and save people.

that which is lost.

Father, I thank you for the great honor of standing in my friend's pulpit.

Thank you for what you've done at Kingdom City.

My heart melts with deep gratitude and a humbleness knowing God, look what you've done.

Look what you've done.

Holy Spirit, come.

Flow in this beautiful room and flow into every campus that's with us today.

Anoint your word, anoint your people, anoint your servant.

Show the devil who's boss.

In Jesus' name, amen.

I love this story.

In fact, this is really one of the first times I've ever preached about it, but I felt it for us today.
