From FC Eindhoven to Helmond Sport | Inside The Mind Of Luca Claassen

Look, your career, you're only a few years older than me, so you've got something up on me.

But obviously, you've been a footballer your whole life.

You've been training in the Netherlands for the majority of your time as a professional footballer.

But where did it actually start for you? So I know that you were born in the Netherlands, but what was your life like before you got into the academy system?

So basically, I think when I started playing football, I was like four, maybe four or five.

Yeah, four.

I started at a small amateur club.

It was nothing special until the age of, I think, 12.

Then I went to a pro club, which is called FC Eindhoven.

it's recently it was also like on the news because it was like the most boring pro club in the world they said but yeah I played there from 13 or 12 till like I think 18 Then I went to Spain to play for Vienna.

It's an amateur team in Spain with good levels.

Some quality players there also.

Now I'm back in the Netherlands, playing for the rivals of FC Eindhoven, where I always played.

It's called Helmond Sport.

It's in the second division of the Netherlands.

And yeah, now I'm feeling good.

Vacations, holidays, so good weather, everything.

It's the time of the year, isn't it, when all the footballers jet off to Marbella? Are you going on holiday this year? Yeah.

Yeah, I'm going actually for one week to Barcelona, so it's always nice.

I've never been to Barcelona.

I've actually never been to mainland Spain.

I've only been to the Canary Islands, if you know what I mean.

It's like Lanzarote.

Yeah, I know, but I think you should go actually one time because it's a whole different Spain.

I've been to also Ireland, Tenerife also, but I don't know.
