The moment in your book where you said you got that call from Janesy and your friend was over with her daughter and you came down sobbing and crying and everybody was thinking that you got bad news.

But then you said that, you know, the league was being made and she understood in that moment what it meant.

But I remember you telling me one time there she was just like, mom, maybe one day I could play in the P-Dub.
Yeah, I mean, yeah, wouldn't that be wicked good? Like, who's kidding who? I think for all of us who've ever played, if we had kids that played, like Nat Rivard's daughter just made the U18 team, Natalie Rivard, who I played with with the Arrows, and she played on the national team, and She was the first former national team player to have her daughter play for team Canada.
And, and of course, if she does get that opportunity, like awesome, you know, obviously we'd be there to support, but the great thing about my kid that she has over me is that she's a really, really flipping good student.
And so I think that even opens up more doors where I wasn't, I had to work so hard to get marks, to get into university and, and, um and she's like love school well I don't want to say love but you know it's a love-hate relationship but she's a good student and so you know we make sure she keeps focused on that and but man sure wouldn't it be cool if she was drafted in the PWHL but it's still cool if she would if she's not

is it the fact that like your kid even has those words coming out of their mouth
well yeah that yeah that in itself that they know right they know the league and they know what exists and that's what all these young kids are aspiring to now.
And I think, you know, that's how far the league has come in such a short period of time.
We're still not out of the woods in my opinion, but we, you know, we've exceeded our expectations.
