Walking with Mary Through the Seven Sorrows - Season 2 Episode 34

Thank you for joining me, brothers and sisters.

This podcast, Jesus, You Take Over, was created to glorify God, to draw us closer to his son, Jesus, and to help us grow in a real personal relationship with him.

A relationship that goes beyond this world It was created to strengthen our faith, to deepen our prayer life, and most importantly, to help bring the lost sheep home to God.

My hope is that through every episode, every reflection, and every prayer, you'll be reminded that you are never alone.

Whatever sorrow, struggle or cross you may be carrying, you don't have to carry it alone.

Bring it to Jesus.

Give him your fears.

Give him your pain.

Give him your worries.

Give him everything that feels too heavy to carry.

and simply say, Jesus, you take over.

Today we'll be reflecting and meditating on the seven sorrows of Mother Mary as we walk with her through the moments of deep sorrow that she experienced in the life of her son, Jesus.

Whoever reflects on the passion of Christ must also think of his mother.

The Mother of God gave St. Bridget of Sweden a revelation concerning the devotion to her seven sorrows.

It teaches that those who pray seven Hail Marys daily in honour of her tears and sorrows, and who spread this devotion, may receive the following graces.

1.

I will grant peace to their families.

2.

They will be enlightened about the divine mysteries.

3.

I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work.

4.

I will give them as much as they ask for, as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my Divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.

5.

I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.

6.

I will visibly help them at the moment of their death.

They will see the face of their mother.

7.

I have obtained this grace from my Divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and pain will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness, since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son will be their eternal consolation of joy.

Now let us quiet our hearts as we enter into these mysteries and ask Mother Mary to lead us closer to her Son, Jesus.
