From the local tracks of Western Australia to life and racing in the USA, Jordan Callum has taken a pathway that few Australian BMX riders have experienced. In this episode, Dozer and Stew catch up…
Jordan CallumGuestDozerHostStewHostYeah, maybe that's where I was getting my wires.
So with riding for Marion, so what, I mean, hypothetically, because I'm not trying to put them as a, but I mean, obviously you get it, you know, coached and stuff like that.
You have, I guess like a, you know, strength coach, track coach, all that sort of stuff.
But so what would happen if you kind of got injured? Did they like take care of you or like? we have we have yeah

athletic trainers and things at school that we're able to go in and get get looked at and then there's doctors on site at school um and so they pretty much take care like i broke i broke my wrist a lot of times but a year or two ago and they kind of they've sorted it all out like surgery and stuff or i didn't get surgery on that one no but i i've got surgery in america on my knee and i got that sorted through school as well
oh
yeah that was just kind of a question because i mean it's funny how their medical system works and stuff and i know that universities do have you know, medical facility.
I mean, some of them are even teaching medicine.
So I guess, yeah, hopefully that'd help you out if you sort of got injured and stuff because they want the best out of you, I suppose.
did the – you just talked about coaching then.
So how did the thing with Sam come about? Did you just sort of reach out to him or a conversation you'd had with someone else that was being coached by him?

It kind of started when he was – he took like a year – or a year and a half maybe.
Oh yeah.
Yeah.

And then I was cycled, put on a junior development camp at the end of the year where we raced in Florida and and then we went to Chula for a week, and then we raced in Bakersfield.
Yeah.
