Ep.224 | Walker Cup team reaction & Women's Irish Open on horizon

Only one place to start this week, I suppose.

Walker Cup.

I don't know.

For me, this is such an anti-climax.

Like, I've been juiced up for this since the lads left.

Like, you know, you have two Walker Cups in 12 months.

We had good representation last year with the two lads going over.

And then you're saying, right, here we go.

Home Walker Cup.

Everyone's going to get going.

We have a lot of lads playing well, jumping at the bit, chomping at the bit on the peripheries.

And...

We kind of did flag it a couple of weeks ago that we both hoped we'd get more than one, but...

We didn't expect it.

We didn't expect it.

And then nothing really happened in any of the bigger tournaments over the last month to justify maybe one or two little bits, you know, with Thomas Higgins.

We'll get into all this now.

But, yeah, you jumped on the call the other day.

What, on Monday at this stage, you jumped on the call where the captain broke the team news to four or five years on the call of Irish press of Stuart Gretton, that's it.

Yeah.

Like he said, Jack Whaley was the one that forced Thomas Higgins out of it.

But like, you can't not pick the US Amateur Champion.

Especially the way

he did it.

So then I don't really buy that.
