How it's structured, 'cause we are trying to get licenses.
We're trying to be licensed psychoanalysts, and New York State wants us to be supervised in a particular way.
Right.
So at our school, we have to gather a number of hours, and we have to gou- gather hours in different tiers of supervision.
So there's, like, the first year tier, which is two 11, and then you've got three 11, four 11.
Four 11, of course, is a single case study.
And so we are actively working through each of these tiers, and we are attempting, or at least I am attempting to, to meet on a weekly basis with my supervisors.
I have two supervisors that I meet with, one whom I've met with now for over a year, and then another that I've met with since the fall.
By the time we are, um, applying for our licenses, we will necessarily have had at least seven hundred and fifty hours with patients and at least a hundred and fifty hours with supervisors, fifty with each of three different supervisors.
So there's this real attention to perspectives other than our own.
And I think that that is something that psychoanalysts do, whether they're in training or not, whether they're early, mid, or late career, psychoanalysts consult other psychoanalysts.
