This is the 44th film from Tom Cruise.
This is what this podcast is all about.
It's not about spreading them.
It's about opening up our hearts to Tom's filmography over the years.
That's right.
Opening up our heart cheeks.
Johnsy, do you have one of your classic synopsis
for
this movie? Oh,
God.
Okay.
How does
one even synopsize? How about Jonesy opening up his synopsis with just like a Jonesy level cough? Like I've been up all day and night.
Like
someone's grandfather in the corner of the room.
He's got a cough for decades and everyone just accepts it as a normal thing.
All right.
One day I'll be dead and you'll miss me.
All right.
So anyway, Digger is about a oil baron who must manage the catastrophic destruction of a pipeline that explodes in the environmental fallout after the And it's also simultaneously the story of an actor, a father, desperately trying to get information on his daughter who is trapped on an airline in South America.
And also somehow the story of a play gone wrong or has it gone right? Three stories in one.
A myriad of of, I would say, different walks of life, all meeting the same thing, and all focused around the enigmatic figure of Digger, the oil baron.
In case you want to clip that so we don't spoil it.
That was amazing.
Amazing work, of course.
