Tom NicholasHostAndy BurnhamGuestPrime Minister, thank you so, so

The theme of your speech today, and in fact of this whole, whole conference, has been hope again.

But it feels like the kind of key, specific policy that you're kind of seeing as the key takeaway from the speech is that decision to abolish the triple lock on pensions.

Now, your predecessor came in with sort of these big promises of change, and then we quickly pivoted to sort of almost lots of discussion of like hard choices and such.

And are you gonna sort of deliver on this big vision of hope or are we pivoting again towards a sort of judging realism?
I'm gonna deliver on the National Care Service for sure because I'm passionate about it.
You know, it's a basic thing, how people are cared for and how we care for each other.
The fact that politics has been talking about it for 30 plus years and not been able to fix it It says everything you need to know about how bad our politics has been.
So I'm going to fix social care, but I'm going to try and fix politics as well, because it's not serving the public well.
We need to break out of the style of people not really taking those big, difficult decisions.
