Will Ole Miss Defense be able to Stop LSU?

The question really is, can the Ole Miss defense get stops when they need to? Can they get stops when they need to? They're at home.

So communication shouldn't be an issue.

Communication.

You got guys on the defensive side of the football for Ole Miss with these big old mouthpieces.

And I'm wondering how the hell you talk with those damn big-ass mouthpieces hanging from your jowls.

You know what I mean? So I'm sitting here wondering if that ain't the reason that Ole Miss has had a couple blown coverages against Louisville.

One or two against Charlotte.

Because if these guys keep Sam Leavitt in the pocket, it'll be easy eat.

I don't think LSU's offense looks good at all.

I don't think they look good at all.

And I think it's pretty damn obvious that if any Ole Miss versus LSU game is going to go down, that Ole Miss should win this one.

Because Ole Miss' offense this season is much more talented than LSU's offense.

Now, LSU's got some stud guys.

Trey Des Green, a tight end.

Number three over receiver.

But their quarterback, Sam Leavitt, is not elite.

He's nowhere near elite.

Put on the tape from these first two games.

Now, granted, it's early.

Guys can develop.

Sam Leavitt for LSU was touted as this premier transfer portal guy.

And you watch the tape and you think, what's the deal with this? We can't stand in the pocket and deliver it? He's great when he's rolling around playing backyard football.

And that's the game is going to be, certainly is, but they're talking about it in their building today.

The plan for Ole Miss, keep Sam Leavitt contained.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ole Miss didn't bump their two interior D linemen to make it even harder for Sam Leavitt to escape the pocket.
