Mexican ultra-low-cost airline Volaris filed a proposal to the Department of Transportation to operate flights between MSP and Guadalajara just a little over two weeks ago.

That's according to the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Business Journal.

The airline reportedly requested authority to operate the flights to Guadalajara starting in early October.

The flights would run three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Volaris's request still needs to be approved.

MSP currently offers nonstop flights to several destinations in Mexico through Delta and Sun Country.

We're talking, like, I think, what? How many cars did they say they were

going to make? They're going to make 499 new Volaris.

To give you some perspective, they made 599.

They actually made more of them.

So the engine is the same.

4-liter twin-turbo V8 revs to 10,789 horsepower out of the V8.

I don't think there are any issues about their viability at this point.

Yeah, I wonder whether the good news that Aeromexico will receive with the judgment, with the resolution in America's court, helps the Volaris v. Aerobus case, because they will maintain this very tight relationship with Delta.

But as we saw on the day of the announcement, the share price really went up about 13%.

And this January, special nonstop flights during CES will bring passengers from Hong Kong and Taipei for the first time.

And Mexican airline Volaris has announced the first new core Mexico route since 2012 between Las Vegas and Querétaro.
