Welcome to How Humans Heal. In this episode, we're talking about hypothyroidism, meaning low thyroid function, and especially low thyroid function caused by Hashimoto's disease, an autoimmune…
And even on social media, and I feel like people maybe get mad at me for saying this, but I just tell them, I'm like, if you want to know, one of the best things you can do is just track all your information, like track all your symptoms, track your labs.
And it's just so helpful, like for me as well, too, when patients bring them in and they're tracking and they give it to me.
And then I can look for those patterns and trends that maybe they're not seeing.
And, you know, as opposed to someone just recalling, because a lot of people can't remember what they ate for breakfast, you know, so there's no way you're going to remember like a month ago what, you know, your dosage or what you were taking or your symptoms.

And sometimes you can get to a dose and a product that your body does really well with.
And then even then you're going to want to check in on it every so often, because sometimes it changes if you're under a lot of stress or you go through menopause or what are some of the things you find that all of a sudden the person's thyroid goes off track, even if it's been stable for years.
Yeah, I would say kind of anything that would just basically flare like a Hashimoto's, for example.
So any sort of like really stressful events, if you're getting, not getting, like you used to get a lot of good sleep and now you're not getting good sleep for a period of time.
And so I, if you're sick, If you got really sick, I find that will throw it off.
And so, you know, those things you just may want to check in because just maybe you might need a little bit more support during that time.
