Hayley Mulenda: From Suicidal Teen to Six-Figure Speaker — Why You’re Too Broke to Stay Invisible

You don't get the life you want, you get the life, the life you settle for.

Oh, that's a mind drop.

Um, and I-

Say that again for us again.

Okay.

You don't get the life you want, you get the life you settle for.

And, um, I realized that from a very young age.

I started speaking at the age of 15.

I got my first five-figure paid speaking engagement at the age of 20.

Um, I went into corporate at the age of 19, in terms of speaking engagements, and I did my first government client at the age of 20 as well.

So, oh, and I done Wembley Arena in front of 16,000 people at the age of 19.

Wow.

So when people are listening to this and they hear the word audacity-

Yes

... what does that mean in terms of what they're gonna be able to walk away? So they might have a feeling.

Mm-hmm.

And it's really funny that you say that, because I actually was gonna ask you about that word, but we're gonna jump to it right now.

Yeah.

So yeah, audacity in the dictionary basically is a willingness to take bold risks.

Yes.

So that is what you believe after this chat people are gonna go away and be able to do from this conversation, is take bold risks.

Yeah.

Is take bold risks, and they're going to want more from their life.

Um, I think there's a lot of people who basically sit in the driver's seat of their life, but they don't actually move the car.

Why is that?
