But you see, tonight we are going to get into the Word of God together, alright? I love Scripture, okay? So if you want to grab your Bibles out, you can.

And we are going to be in Luke 24.

Now I'm going to set the scene for you before we get there.

Here we go.

You see, Jesus has died on the cross on the Friday and He was buried in a tomb.

And then three days later on the Sunday, Jesus' crew, His disciples, they have got word that Jesus ain't in the tomb anymore and they are flipping out.

They're flipping out.

They're like, where is this guy? And the spoiler alert of the Bible is that Jesus did just as He said He would and He rose from the grave.

That's where we're at.

Are you following me? You're good.

Okay, we pick it up in Luke 24 verse 13.

That same day, two of Jesus' followers were walking in the village of Emmaus, seven miles, which is about 11, 12 k's, from Jerusalem.

And as they walked along, they were talking about everything that had happened.

So they're talking all about how Jesus ain't there anymore.

And as they talked and discussed these things, Jesus Himself suddenly came and began walking with them.

But God kept them from recognising Him.

So we have Jesus in disguise.

And he asked them, what are you discussing so intently as you walk along? And they stopped.

Sadness, short sadness written across their faces.

Then one of them, Cleopas, but tonight we're going to call him Cleo.

He goes, you must be the only person in Jerusalem who hasn't heard about the things that have happened there in the last few days.

Now you see, I believe this is the first recorded side eye in all of history.

You see, you can imagine this moment where Cleo turns to Jesus in disguise and goes, You really don't know what's happened.

All right, I want you to picture that right now.
