Young, Fearless & Playoff Bound? | Washington Mystics with Falon Turner

I have a lot to say.

I have a lot to say.

Okay, so let's talk, how did the Mystics get here? So they're currently 21-14.

So overall winning percentage, that puts them sixth in the league currently.

And they're inside...

And they're inside the 18 playoff field.

So they've played 35 of 44 regular season games.

They have nine remaining.

So this was supposed to be a rebuilding team.

So at what point did you realise, wait, these girls might actually make the playoffs? i think when the

run started i think you know we went on a seven seven game run streak i think by game three i was like oh hold on now because i think it was something i saw it might have been threads where they were like the mystics have beat every team at least one yeah wait a minute i

think are they the only team in

the

league that's done that yeah

that was wild and i'm like i've never heard anything like that before and i'm like okay and I think once the streets started and I think we were like three or four and I think I was going to the games while the streets were happening and you could just see they wanted to win.

Like the day, I don't know what day it was, but the day they came back from like a 20, 25 point deficit and won, I said, wait a minute, wait a minute.

Most people would give up, but they didn't give up.

And then Coach Sidney, he's coaching his tail off.

Like my Lord, people used to be like, oh, he sucks, he sucks, he sucks.

But to do what you're doing? It's no small feat.

This is crazy.

But every single time you think the game's over or they're down, even if they don't win the game, they close the gap.

And I think that just shows how determined they are to win.

And they never...

They never let anybody come in and big dog them in their arena.
