Well, my daughter loves our curriculum, and she was very excited to take her, this is our first year of the testing, and so in her mind, I take the test, I am done with third grade, and then I can move on.
Oh.
So after we did the testing, she was like, "Great, I'm now in fourth grade and I would like to start now." [laughs] A couple weeks ago she just decided to start.
She only did it for that one day, but that was fine because-
Oh, I didn't realize that.
I knew that she had done that.
Oh, girl
...
but I didn't know [laughs] it was a one day.
It was a one day thing.
But I will say this, much like when I was in public school and the first couple days of class is always review or syllabus or blah, whatever, and, you know, you weren't really doing any active learning, you were just kind of turning your brain back on in a way.
This curriculum kind of does a review.
Like, we're fully in multiplication and division for her right now, but I noticed in that first lesson there were some just refreshing addition and place value and all that.
And I, I like that because it's stuff that you know, so it's a good confidence booster because these things aren't hard.
It's not new concepts.
And it just gets you back in the rhythm.
So we got that out of the way for her, which was lovely.
But we will start back officially on the 17th of August.
I have filed our DOI already, and we'll get started back on the 17th next week.
We're, we're recording this on, in the beginning of August.
So next week we'll start our morning routine light, easing the kids back into a morning routine, and also a little bit more structure to our day.
Nice.
So what about y'all?
So we start back usually on September 1st.
I like just having that hard September date.
