Supernatural giving - Kety Samways

It says, Now the wife of one of the sons of the prophets, she cried out to Elisha, Your servant, my husband, is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord.

But the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves.

And Elisha said to her, What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in your house? And she said, Your servant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.

Then he said, Go outside, borrow vessels from all your neighbors, empty vessels and not too few.

Somebody say, Not too few.

Not too few.

You know, in another translation, it says as many as you can.

And then go in and shut the door behind yourself and your sons and pour into all these vessels.

And then when one is full, set it aside.

So she went from him and shut the door behind herself and her sons.

And as she poured, they brought the vessels to her.

Amen.

I mean, what a powerful story.

Here we have a widow who has just lost her husband.

And the Bible says that her husband, he was a man of God.

He was a servant.

He worshipped the Lord.

He was a servant of the community of prophecy in Elisha's community.

But we don't really know much about this woman.

We don't know her name.

We don't know her background.

But all we know that she was in crisis.

We know that her husband was dead.

We know that her money was gone and that her sons were about to be taken as slaves.

In other words, I mean, this woman was in a very, very difficult situation.
