372: Best of #EDUCAUSE26

Um, so a, a couple of thing, uh, things I wanna talk about that the best of, um, and one, uh...

And while he's on, I've gotta talk about Extron here, first off, um, because, uh, you know, huge support.

We, uh, you know, kind of saw them at the little party last night.

Um, had great opportunity to, to talk and golf together, uh, during the Hepma, uh, Golf Classic, um, with...

Sorry, Troy, but I did have, uh, Tim on my team, and we won, okay? So sorry about that there.

Um, and, uh, first place team, uh, at Golf YOU C- at Golf YOU CAUSE.

Um, but one of the takeaways that I, I, I really think about the, the Extron people, and we, our members have gone by the booth and, and swung by and taken a look at things.

And just to, um, to have, uh, have our people be able to converse alongside the different verticals and really know, like, how this fits.

So one of the things, I'm gonna give people who aren't here a little behind the scenes, okay? Um, about the Extron booth location, okay? So not just what they've got there, 'cause we obviously know all of the products are just out of the wor- out of this world, right? We know that.

We know the solutions are great.

But they're over in the enterprise section.

So we're, uh, so you see here, this is, uh, cybersecurity, but you don't see on the other side right next to us.

So we're split right in the middle between teaching and learning and cybersecurity, and then down that way is enterprise.

Well, Extron puts their booth right in enterprise.

And you think, "Wait, aren't you supposed to be over at teaching and learning?" No.

And so what happened is they get great conversations, is that we take our tours by, and we take our people by to really, they become part of the ecosystem, which is the definition of what EDUCAUSE is and what separates it from other, uh, from other conferences, right? It's what, uh, um, EDUCAUSE is one where you have your cybersecurity people, you have your AV people, you have your network people, you have, um, your teaching and learning people all come together in one spot.

And so what you have is you have Extron going, "Yeah, I'm gonna throw my booth right there in the middle of it, and I want everyone to be able to come together," because they know that our learning environments now are so much ecosystems that touch all these different areas.

Um, so that's one thing I absolutely love.

And by the way, every time I walk by their booth, um, they're just, they're just smiling and having fun, and that was what we saw.

And we s- we, uh, definitely appreciate the support at the Golf Classic and hopefully, uh, you all had a great time with that.

Um, and of course, a wonderful, wonderful party and time to spend, uh, last night.

So obviously, so, uh, a best of award of EDUCAUSE twenty-six does go to Extron.

They, definitely goes to Extron.

[lip smack] Uh, another best of award, uh, that sticks out, you know, I'm gonna stick on, uh, I'm gonna stick on some of the, uh, the, our manufacturer partners and, uh, and that goes to CDW too.

Um, CDW, um, yeah, as Sean, I see it, yes, uh, Extron does a great job.
