So I'm not really sure.

I would love to have anybody else's thoughts on this one, but you might look into getting something like an Extron HDMI switch used that also has serial control, but then you would need to program something in yourself and connect to the Tink 4K's USB port for serial control there, and then just hope that the SVS and HDMI switch don't talk at the same time, or one talks after the other in the wrong order.
BobHOST
11:25
Will the recently added Tink 4K Pro feature of upmixing digital audio to a certain kilohertz value be helpful for making their 5.1 amp play nice with their modded SNES's digital audio signal? Yes, it should.
BobHOST
11:37
And if that's the case, you could do something like on the HDMI output of your RetroTINK, get that HDMI splitter that I've been talking about for years and put its output, output two into your receiver and output one into the HDMI to VGA converter.
BobHOST
16:44
All you would really need is an HDMI to VGA converter, like that $10 one I always talk about.
BobHOST
16:51
And then you could just use the GameCube's analog port for audio, even with composite video cables.
BobHOST
16:56
And then you mentioned you have an RGBHV to RGSB converter, probably like an Extron RGB interface.
BobHOST
17:03
So that would do that totally fine, the only issue would be you have to go into your GC video settings and disable line doubling, and then just don't enable 480p mode for any of your games or Swiss.

Most AV gear that doesn't produce BACnet does expose something.

Biamp Tesira has the Tesira text protocol over TCP.

Extron control processors expose SNMP and IP-based control APIs, plus contact I.O. Q-SYS has a scripting environment and a whole ecosystem of plugins, but nearly every codec and display on the market has some sort of REST API or a serial command set.
David McDowellHOST

The catch is that none of those are BACnet, so you need something in the middle.
