Michelle ThompsonHostSo tell me, how did your background in teaching and as an EMT shape the way you investigate these health puzzles that you were talking about from your journey and others?
It's also just ingrained in me to be a numbers person, to be a data person.
That said, here is a place where your body is screaming for attention, and then we can look at lifestyle pieces that say, here are the ways that you're sabotaging that story.
And we can use those pieces together for your individual body to help your body to heal.
And so my math background is hugely important in that I'm looking for patterns between your lifestyle, between your symptoms, and between your biology that tell your own unique story about your health.
And then we use those patterns to then create a plan to map out the solving part of the problem.
And my love of biology that comes from my mother's influence, I'm fascinated by the way the body works.
The truths that we've been told for years, for decades as a culture are, are changing.
They weren't true, but the reasons they weren't true was maybe hidden from us.
And now that it is, we need to adapt what we do, and medicine doesn't adapt as quickly as our science and our bodies are asking it to.
