Lisa OlszewskiHostChiroHustle Podcast HostHostSo, so your story in chiropractic, um, you said that you like to inspire people with this story, so, um, let's, let's share it and, uh-

Yeah, you know what? It's one of those things, gosh, prior to 2020 when we used to speak on stages, I think [laughs] I mean, I guess we still do.

But, you know, I always ask, and especially for the chiropractors, chiropractic assistants, whoever is listening, it's one of those things that we always have to, like, really think about what is our confidence and certainty in chiropractic, right? Because I, I always share with them this story about imagine it's the early 1950s, right? Um, there is a man and a woman, and they're expecting their second child.

However, they've taken the man aside and told him to take really good care of his wife because only one person's gonna make it out of the pregnancy alive.

So the excitement of having the second child and then all of a sudden being told that you're gonna lose your wife, like you're gonna lose, lose the person that is your soulmate, and not only that, like only one person's gonna make it out of a- out alive.

Take really good care of your wife, and all of a sudden you realize, "I have a little, a little baby at home, and my wife's gonna give birth to another one, but she's not gonna make it out alive." So the story goes the woman has a heart condition.

However, the woman's dad happens to be a milkman, and on a delivery one day sees a man crawl into an unmarked office and then walks out.

So chiropractors listening, you know 1951, unmarked office, yeah, there's still states in the United States that were practicing medicine without a license, right, as chiropractors.

So thank goodness for the certainty and the confidence of that chiropractor that he was adjusting people [laughs] and that his patient understood what was going on.

Because when the milkman asked him why he was walking when he crawled in, he told him about chiropractic.

And so you can figure out how this story goes, right? Milkman goes home, tells his daughter, "Go to a c- go to a chiropractor." Daughter goes to a chiropractor, gets adjusted, makes it out of the pregnancy alive, has a beautiful baby boy.

Um, I never really realized this story until I went to chiropractic school [laughs] and then really when I started learning the history and then I realized, you know, the, uh, I m- my grandparents, I mean, they were ones that gave money to this chiropractor to get out of jail.

Um, I thought everybody had a grandmother who did yoga, listened to Deepak Chopra, and fed them probiotics.
