In early Midwest Premier Division I play, the Pittsburgh Forge, Grand Rapids Growlers, Chicago Lions, and Metropolis Valkyries opened their campaigns with early victories.

Dr. Dennis Short started as a marine biologist before graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2001.

On April 11th, 1986, he married Connie White in Tucson, Arizona, with whom he had a daughter.

Mike began working for Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988.

He remained with Palmer College until his retirement.

Mike was an avid bowler throughout his life and participated in many bowling leagues over the years.

He was even recognized for his sportsmanship, something that reflected the kind and good-natured person he was both on and off the lanes.
