Welcome to Healthy Brain, Happy Body, a podcast from the Northeast Region Biofeedback Society.

I'm Dr. Saul Rosenthal, a health psychologist in the Boston area and your host as we investigate the incredible connections

Today, I am talking with Jeffrey Schutz, a marriage and family therapist, board-certified neurofeedback clinician, and founder of the Neurovation Center in Connecticut.

Jeff has spent more than a decade exploring what happens when we move beyond simply adding neurofeedback to traditional mental health care and instead begin building care around a more brain-based model.

At the upcoming NRBS conference, he'll be presenting Pioneering the Brain-Based Frontier, Innovative Strategies for Integrating Neurofeedback into a Mental Health Setting.

We're going to talk about what a brain-based approach actually means, where it can add to traditional diagnoses and treatment, where its limitations are, and what Jeff has learned from building an entire clinical practice around it.
