Do you feel like the system supports you to do the best job that you can do? Because I mean, I've looked at your background, you do great work, but do you think, I hear that the system's broken a lot.

And I'll explain a couple of things that I see and I witness through my years of practice.

One of them is that physicians, so as you most likely know, 84% at this time of physicians, depending who you read on the data, are employed by hospitals and large organizations.

Very unfortunate because, again, that is the core of free venture, private venture.

The other thing that adds to it is the fact that physicians, including house specialty, they are very much nudged.

for lack of a better word to work for rvus which is relative value units really what it is you eat what you kill okay

this is one of the challenges you're saying is in the system for doctors yes and eat what you kill what do you mean by that

It's a measure that physicians have from the hospitals and the large organizations.

And on the record, I have never accepted a contract that was based on our views.

And why? I like to give this story, okay? Imagine you and your wife who is pregnant comes to me and I am about to do a consultation on your high-risk wife, but also on the findings on the ultrasound, okay? So let's say I just found something on ultrasound on your baby that needs an attention and needs for me to talk to you about.

Now, this is a very important discussion for me as a physician that offers care, but also for you, because this is your child and this is your future.

And really, outside marriage, this is the most important event of our lives, having children and having a small human procreate.

And like I said, you're starting 15 minutes into the discussion, and I'm starting to look at my watch, and you must be wondering, gosh, this doctor is really rude.
