FSY-Youth Curriculum-Sept. 13, 2026-Learn More About the Restoration of the Priesthood

So week number two of this new schedule.

This discussion this coming week, whether you're doing it in a young men or young women class, maybe you're just doing it around the kitchen table with the youth that are in your family.

Whoever you're doing it with, this topic, this topic this week is a big one.

Priesthood Keys and the Restoration of Priesthood Authority.

This is a truth that really separates the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from other Christian faiths.

So it's really important that we have a good, sound understanding of what this is and why it's so important.

I know for some of us, a priesthood keys is one of those gospel topics that can kind of feel a little abstract, right? We know what it is.

We've heard it a lot.

if someone asked us to explain it, do we have the right vocabulary? Can we come across as really understanding what priesthood keys are, what priesthood authority is, and why it's important in the Church of Jesus Christ? So, it can be a really hard topic to have land really solid with the youth.

If we don't have a good understanding of it, how are we going to convey a sound understanding of that to the youth that we are leading a discussion with.

So today, I want to focus on two things.

I want to walk through the doctrine itself, and then I'm going to give you some real practical tips for teaching it as well.

Just a couple tips here and there.

I don't want anyone feeling overwhelmed, but just a couple tips that might help you mostly with the 25-minute thing as we adjust to what that looks like and how to have our classes be effective in that amount of time.
