You have lived in two very different ethics journeys in working at Western Digital and then also at Marvell.

I'd love to have you talk about what those experiences teach you about the relationship between culture and compliance.

There are many rules and laws that we have to comply with, but culture is what brings compliance to the next level and which allows companies to ensure that employees are doing the right things,

And so employees are always looking to their leaders for what is the culture of an organization and how can they work within an organization to ensure that they are in line with their leadership.

Digital there, you spent 20 years there, right? And so when you are with a company for that long, you're sure to see some evolution going on.

Yes, so I started working with Western Digital in 2000 as an outside attorney and then came in-house in 2010.

And when I joined the company, it was a big company, but still relatively small in its evolution.

And over the next decade, the company made a series of strategic acquisitions that resulted in it becoming a much larger company.

And with that, there was a need to scale and frankly, to change and shift the culture from one that had been very much a just let's get it done culture to a culture of let's do it the right way and make sure that we are following all of the laws, but we're also doing business in a way that's ethical.
