do want to start with the game last night as the Patriots fall to the Seahawks.

Drake May throws three interceptions en route to the loss as the defending champs pick up a win the night they raise the banner.

But I think the story for us as somebody that covers the Packers in your perspective, somebody that's a fan of the Packers in my perspective, is not the best night for Romeo Dobbs who got paid in free agency as the Packers let him walk.

We've talked a lot this offseason, Jason, about the Packers kind of taking this less is more approach.

I saw Matt LaFleur talked about it yesterday in his press conference of kind of letting his top receivers be the guys in Reed, Watson, and, of course, Matthew Golden.

Romeo Dobbs, one of those guys out of Green Bay, and certainly not a sparkling debut for him in New England.

It wasn't.

I'm not going to kick a guy when he's down, but he obviously had a tough night.

It would appear, based on one game of evidence, that Goody made the right decision letting him walk.

But that was a foregone conclusion.

I know I've told you this before.

I talked to somebody in the building recently, going into last season who said that if, if he was Romeo Dobbs, he would put his head down and work and earn himself a big contract somewhere else because they were not planning on resigning him.

It's, you

know,

after what happened in 2024 with him going AWOL, that raised red flags and folks can debate whether or not, you know, that's fair to him.

I get it.

But the bottom line is, is that changed how they viewed him.

And, you know, I don't think one game decides whether or not he's a good player or whether that was a wasted money.

You know, they've got three wide receivers.

They run a lot of 11 personnel and now AJ Brown is hurt.

So he's going to have to earn some of that money.

I, The thing that I kept thinking about as I watched the game last night, and obviously the Packers, with a backup quarterback, won some games two years ago.

But I just kept thinking, there's a lot of folks that don't criticize Goody.
