There's a story about the great heavyweight boxer Muhammad Ali refusing to fasten his seatbelt on a domestic flight.

When the flight attendant pressed him about it, Ali responded saying, Superman don't need no seatbelt.

To which the flight attendant, not skipping a beat, responded, well, Superman don't need no airplane either.

It was one of the few times, few moments in his life where Ali was forced to eat humble pie.

And we could all major a little more in humility, which is precisely how Peter ends this letter.

Now to get us in the right frame of mind, I want you to turn to the person beside you and say, you're not that great.

The fathers here are like, on Father's Day? Really? Really? But Peter, in his final words, kind of does that to his audience reading this letter, to these early Christians.
