If you're reading along with me, it could be different depending on what version of the Bible you are reading, but I invite you to listen along.

"What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don't they come from the evil desires at war within you? You want what you don't have, so you scheme and kill to get it.

You are jealous of what others have, but you can't get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them.

And even when you ask, you don't get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what gives you pleasure." Before we get into the next paragraph, 'cause the next paragraph's really good, I wanna point out, like, touch on this, 'cause I did see a really good post on Instagram this morning that said, "Stop praying based on who you are." Like, it has nothing to do with who you are, the sins you've committed, or what you think of yourself.

I think a lot of times we, like, put off asking for certain things 'cause we feel like we don't deserve it.

It- You're not praying because of who you are, okay? You're praying because of who He is, who God is.

It has nothing to do with you, and everything to do with Him and what He can do and His plans for you.

So we're gonna stop praying like it's, it's all about us, right? 'Cause it's actually all about God.

Do you think the Scriptures have no meaning? They say that God is passionate that the Spirit he has placed within us should be faithful to him.

As the Scriptures say, 'God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.'" Okay, there is nothing wrong with wanting a pleasurable life.
