Today's interview is with a Texas winemaker who's producing some notable red wines in California's beautiful Paso Robles wine region. I first discovered Brady Vineyards after spotting their Zinfandel on the shelf at H-E-B. Truth be told, I don't usually reach for Zinfandel, but there was something different about Brady's. It wasn't the typical fruit bomb. Instead, it was beautifully balanced, with nuance and layers of flavor that kept me coming back for another sip. While I enjoy the Brady Zinfandel, Don Brady says the true stars of his portfolio are his Old World-inspired reds, including Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petite Sirah.
