So I love baking for holidays, but with Hindu holidays, the way I grew up is we always have sweets as a center.
You start your day with something sweet because it's supposed to signify a moment with your family with a moment of sweetness.
But I wanted to create something that me and my daughter could make together that's a little bit more modern and American, that gave me all the vibes of the holy mithai that I had growing up, but also had the vibes visually of Holi.

But it's probably one of the most happy, fun holidays, and it also marks the beginning of spring for us.
