When My People Pray

Do people of God pray or they do not pray? There are those who pray and there are those who don't even know how to pray, not to talk about praying.

There are those who don't know why they should pray and why should they pray.

When we look at the subject of prayer, many times people say, are confused.

Is it necessary to pray? Those who are not familiar with the church ask this question.

Oftentimes, why should we pray? What is the need of prayer? There are moments in history when everything changes because somebody prayed.

Some Christians don't even believe God still answers prayers.

A family can change because somebody prayed.

A church can change, transform, Because somebody prayed, a nation can experience transformation, change, revival because people prayed.

And a revival can begin because people refuse to stop praying for a nation or for a community.

It's not simply a religious exercise.

Prayer is an invitation for heaven to intervene in earthly situations or in our life.

Sometimes we look at our families and say something needs to change.

We look at our churches and say we need revival.

We need breakthrough in the church.

We look at our communities and say Things are getting worse in the community and in the society.

We look at our own lives and say, I need a breakthrough.

Some people will say, I need success.

Some people will say, I need financial breakthrough.

But God is saying something that's different.

God is saying something else.

But God is saying something according to 2 Chronicles 7 verse 14.

If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal them.

This verse was spoken by God to Solomon after the dedication of the temple in Jerusalem.

It was part of God's response to Solomon's prayer and God's warning about his own people.

And God made them to understand if they turned away from him, what would happen? And if they turned towards him and repented, what would also happen? The purpose of the verse, God was showing Israel how to respond.
