He's one of those players I always talk about whenever I can in terms of guys that... like when he's on he's as good as anyone with the intercept game he's a much bigger man than people think but you're right the two of them were were unstoppable they were just human stop signs in the first half uh and along with one or two other guys i mean when it's going against you and you're not kicking straight up forward and you're getting it kicked in on top of you down back you need those guys to to play well

Yeah, and I was working on the game for radio and I said, this is a really good sign, as the game started to turn Geelong's way, of a really mature group who's been there.

Because you know what it's like when you're a young, immature group and you are missing all these shots at goal despite having a lot of play.

It can turn to panic or it can turn to frustration and then it can all get blown up and the opposition ends up taking over.

You could tell that Geelong... it's fine hey we're playing good football opportunities are coming we're just not quite finishing it the moment we start finishing it we will take care of this game and it was a really great sign a couple of little adjustments and you're right we are going to get to patty in a sec don't worry we uh we know how incredible he was i loved the little in-game adjustments so first quarter uh oisin mullen um our man who we've spoken a lot about throughout the year on the podcast goes to Sam Walsh to start the game and was doing an okay job.

And Walsh and Mullen were just sort of almost negating each other a little bit.

But Jagger Smith was the one who lit up early and looked really busy and dangerous.

And the coaching group just didn't hesitate.
