We got a film here to talk about, Clayface.
And before we get into spoiler territory and talk about the film, what did you think spoiler-free thoughts on this?
this was a really fun film i i really enjoyed it i had middling expectations you know going in we knew it was gonna be a horror film at least that's what they advertised it as anyway and i think they got close to that expectation Now, mind you, I've seen, obviously I do this time of year, a horror-ish podcast for the, you know, Patreon stuff, but I watch a lot of horror films.
As far as horror films go, this is probably on the lower tier, the lower spectrum of horror films, in my opinion.
I would probably put this more on a thriller action, if nothing else, more suspenseful.
But it did...
I know we talked about it after you saw the movie this morning.
At
times, yeah.
I definitely think it's better than some of the Sony villain movies, especially some of the ones we've gotten recently.
I had a fun time with it.
I really enjoyed it.
there are i i really thought they did a good job with some of the the scenes of of him transitioning from person to person i liked the way that they did that on how when they i i they didn't do a lot of um cgi sometimes when he's going from person to person a lot of it was um the whole trick of like he walks behind something and it comes out and he's somebody else
yeah
so a lot of practical on that end but there are there was the times when he would like roll over in bed and it would be one person into a different person and that was just a quick if like blink and you missed the transition so i did like that um story-wise i thought the story was good up until the third act the third act is where in my opinion it starts to fall apart a little bit and we'll get into it deeper when we get into the spoiler section but all in all i really did like this movie i thought i thought it was good
And I think I more so think it was okay, but I can say I enjoyed this more than Supergirl.
So that's something I didn't think I would say going into this.
Before it, like you said, the third act kind of gets a little shaky, but I did enjoy the first two acts.
I did really enjoy the... start of his powers where he was just taking other people's faces and especially when he was killing them and immediately transforming into them again like it happened every time until he was the mob boss's hitman like right hand guy who went to kill that lady and he kills somebody in the bathroom and he does not turn into the person into the bathroom that's all i think that's the only time in the film when he kills somebody he doesn't turn into him right afterwards
Well, because by that time he had a better handle on his powers.
Yeah, but I did appreciate that element of it where he was transforming into the people all the time that he was killing.
That was the kind of cool element.
And again, the whole horror of this is not really that hoary if you're not a big horror fan like myself.
